Grateful Greetings - Card Collaboration with Celeste and Deb.

Happy Thanksgiving!  This week I am joining Celeste and Deb for their monthly collaboration of Coffee and Cards.  This month's theme is Thankful.  I chose Stampin Up Harvest Home stamp set.  I used Copic markers to color the stamp.  The base card stock is from the Stampin' Up Earth Elements package, and the background is from Out & About from My Mind's Eye.  The focal image was cut with a stitched circle die cut and mounted to the background.

For my coffee, Celeste was kind enough to bring me a McCafe' Peppermint Mocha Latte.  Thanks Celeste.  It has been fun!
Be sure to go see Celeste and Deb at their blogs.  Leave them a comment so they know you visited.

I Love You Card...Cards and Coffee with Celeste and Deb

Hello friends!  Thanks for stopping by.  I told you in my last post that Celeste was giving me a push to get my creative juices flowing again, so I want to share a card I have made as a collaboration with Deb and Celeste in their venture with Cards and Coffee.  Thanks Deb and Celeste for allowing me to join you.

The card was made with Neenah Desert Storm as the base card. Using the Cricut Cuttlebug Cross My Heart embossing folder, I embossed hearts on a piece of QuickStripz textured card stock.  Using the ATG gun, the embossed card stock was adhered to the card base.  The circle on which the cup rests is also made from the Neenah Desert Storm card stock and cut with the cross stitch Gina Marie Designs die.  The cup is cut from the Stamping UP Cups and Kettle Framelits Dies using paper from Brenda Walton 2005 Super K Paper Pad.  A second cup was cut from the same die using Neenah white card stock which is glued to the back of the cup for support. Using the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write pen, the edge was colored to hide the white backing.  I placed the cup on the die cut circle to eye the placement of the stamped steam.  Stampin UP Chocolate Chip ink was used to stamp the heart shaped steam using A Nice Cuppa stamp set from Stampin UP, and the cup was then popped up with Stamping UP dimensional adhesive.  Using the same Brenda Walton 2005 Super K Paper Pad, I used a coordinating checked paper which I adhered at the bottom.  Using Desert Storm card stock,  I stamped I love you with Chocolate Chip ink using the stamp set The Touch of Love by Penny Black. The two hearts were cut from Stampin UP Chocolate Chip card stock and paper punch Heart to Heart Three Hearts.  The hearts are popped up with Stampin UP dimensional adhesive.  Oh yes, the heart on the cup was also cut from the Heart to Heart Three Hearts punch.

For the coffee share, I am posting a picture of my morning jo.  It is simply my usual cup of Folders in the morning, but the cup makes it even better.  I use this set of dishes for the Christmas season, but I continue to use them until Spring as I love them so much.  Cheers!

I love that you paid me a visit.  I hope you enjoyed the card and the coffee!

What Happened?

I want to give a shout out to my friend Celeste who is kicking me in the pants and getting me going again with my blogging.  After I started my blog, I received a phone call that I needed to immediately move my mother into my home, and so my life took a new path.  After getting my mother settled, I am now trying to find my new normal.  With Celeste's encouragement, I am getting another start with the blog. I will post a couple pictures in a few days when I get my watermark working.  Stay tuned as I get in tune again!

It's My Turn!

Welcome to my blog.  I'm creating this blog to challenge myself to create in my craft room everyday. Big or little, it does not matter.  What matters is that I go into my space and create. I have a crafting room that started as a place for grand kids to allow creative juices to flow. As they got older, the room became unused. Now it is time to use the space for myself to explore my own creative side.  I am challenging myself to learn to quilt, sew, make cards, cut some vinyl, crochet, and whatever else catches my attention. Oh yes, I am also learning to blog!  Please join me in my challenge.  I hope you will share, encourage, and teach me as I grow my creative self.
